Mönchengladbach -Bökelberg
(demolished)
Borussia M'gladbach- 1.FC Köln 4-1
Bundesliga, 30 April 1994
It is Queen's Day in the Netherlands as I have my first stadium visit abroad: my father takes me to the famous Bökelberg in Gladbach. From where we live it is less than an hour drive. The stadium is sold out but my father gets us into the stadium: a standing stand somewhere near the corner flag. Lead by Swedish striker star Martin Dahlin, die Föhlen beat the Geissböcken 4-1 in this true derby game. In 2004 the Bökelberg was demolished since the new Borussia Park was built.
Tickets:
My father gave 10 Deutsch Mark to the police officer and we could get in the stadium. That wouldn't happen anymore in this century.
