In Velsen-Zuid sportclub Telstar plays for 47 years in the Eerste divisie. Until 2025. In the play offs they beat Willem II and are promoted to the Eredivisie. In the summer the club builds a new stand behind the goal and replace the pitch by real grass. I am there when Telstar is playing its first Eredivisie home game in 47 years. Because it is Sail that week, Telstar is playing in a special "Wave" shirt. The Schoonenberg sports park, today called Buko Stadium, is sold out. The unique scoreboard with fishing buckets is being moved to a new place in the stadium. Unfortunately it is only used for the guests. Despite that it was a nice evening in Velsen for the "Vissenkoppen" with one remarkable fact: for PEC Zwolle 15 year old Jadiel Pereira da Gama is the youngest football player in history of Eredivisie that plays.
