MSV Duisburg - Viktoria Köln 1-1

It is the third match in the German 3. Liga in a month: a visit to another Traditionsverein from the West; a trip to the Schauinsland Reisen Arena in Duisburg. With my German colleague we drive from Moers together to our new built company parking in Duisburg Rheinhausen and from there we drive to the stadium. We can park our car only a few hundred metres from the main entrance but we have tickets for the East stand. The stadium is sold out for matchday 38, the last of the season. MSV competes with rival Rot-Weiss Essen for place three which gives the ticket for the play off with number 16 of the 2. Bundesliga. Untill the additional time both teams are at a draw but as soon as MSV hits the woodwork it is Essen that scores in the other game in Ulm and makes the crowd sad. No second promotion in a row for the Zebras. A  good atmosphere during the match. In the third league the football is not always good but football is for the fans as it should be with a loth of passion.
