Marseille -
Stade Vélodrome
Olympique Marseille - FC Sevilla 1-1
Friendly match, 2 August 2025
Le Plus Beau Stade du Monde: that's wat the stadium calls itself. And to be honoust: it comes very close because the Stade Vélodorome is really nice. With our family we spend our summer holiday 2025 in the Provence. Since I am big fan of nice European football stadiums I can't miss the opportunity to visit this match in Marseille despite we are staying at that moment near Nice at the Cote d'Azur. In 2 hours I drive with my son to Marseille and since we don't want to search our car somewhere in the banlieus, we park our car in the shopping center Terrasses du Port from where there is a direct metro line to the stadium. Before the match we walk from the parking to the Vieux Port where we have about an hour and a half to visit the old town. After a quick meal at the golden arches restaurant we pick the metro to the stadium. Around the stadium it is very busy and the steps before the stadium are packed. We are on row 86 which is quit high. The first half shows good football in a typical summer holiday atmostphere but with 63,000 people there is a lot to see.
Tickets:
The tickets for this summeract where really cheap and purchased at L'OM.
